Your Ki Advice for May 8 to June 7
1 Water people can expect a smoother ride in their 4 Wood month. Things start to happen for you now as your efforts brings the results you have waited for. You have greater access to your intuitive abilities so use them to steer in the right direction, instead of randomly shooting off at a tangent.
2 Earth people are in a 5 Earth month, where you feel more comfortable being back in your own element but uncertain about what to do with yourself. Best to stay at home and reflect on how you could better look after yourself.
3 Wood people will feel restricted in this 6 Metal month. Resist the urge to boss everyone around and focus on what you can do for others. If it all gets too much take some vigorous exercise.
After last months’ move up the promotion ladder 4 Wood people get to party in their 7 Metal month, so watch out you don’t spend all your earnings and avoid any superficial temptations.
This month 5 Earth people dwell in the 8 Earth cave of inner reflection. If you now want to make some changes to your life, ensure that you have a clear plan and get real about your present situation.
6 Metal people are under the spotlight in their 9 Fire month. At times your might feel the heat, but this can be an enjoyable time as long as you remain grounded and walk your talk.
7 Metal people get a chance to rest and reflect on the future in this 1 Water month. Use your sensitivity to feel out what might be coming your way. Be careful with your money and other resources as they will be thin on the ground.
Success in small endeavors is the motto for 8 Earth people in their 2 Earth month. it’s time to do some spring cleaning, and check out what help you need in your next big adventure in July.
9 Fire people get a big move on in their 3 Wood month. Your feel more supported now and can rush ahead with loads of new ideas. Remember to take a break from time to time or you risk burning yourself out.
Ki Days for Getting Things Done
Something that’s not often discussed in 9 Star Ki is how make better use of the Ki Day. My 9 Star Ki GTD method shows how to use the Ki of each day to choose your actions for that day.
But first you have to find your personal Ki for each day:
Assuming you already know your Ki Year number (the how to is in the right hand bar), you calculate your personal Ki Day number by looking at the calendar and making a note of todays Day’s Ki number.
Then look through the nine Magic Square charts for the one with the current Ki Day number in the middle.
Now on that chart look for the position where your own number is and compare that with the number in the same position on the first chart with 5 in the middle. This corresponding number is your personal Ki Day number for that day. You can then choose the actions that are aligned with that day’s Ki.

9 Star Ki and Getting Things Done
I’ve used David Allan’s Getting Things Done system for a long time, and like many people have found that using contexts is not always the most effective way to choose between conflicting priorities, especially when you lack motivation to get on with anything at all with your immense list of to dos.
In my article on Feng Shui Principles for Business I hint that you can use 9 Star Ki timing to choose which day, month or year is best for particular business activities. This method also works with choosing the optimum time to carry out actions on your to do list.
Choosing which day to make an important business call, when to do the accounts, improve a relationship, which month to focus on your health, or the best year to get a new qualification, and much much more can all be decided by using my 9 Star Ki GTD method.
So what do you do when you can’t decide what action to carry out next?

To choose the best actions for each day read these instructions which tells you how to calculate your personal Ki day.
The typical activities associated with the 9 Ki types of action are:
1 Water: Studying, research and writing.
2 Earth: Attending meetings, tidying up loose ends and cleaning.
3 Wood: Brainstorming ideas, free range creativity, improving your love life, starting a new project.
4 Wood: Communication actions, fixing IT problems, DIY, asking for help.
5 Earth. Improving you health and spiritual activities.
6 Metal. Getting organised, filing, getting people to do stuff for you, helping others out, goal assessment.
7 Metal. Financial actions such as making investments, closing open loops, defining goals, socialising, shopping,
8 Earth. Teaching, fixing relationship problems, devoting extra effort to a task.
9 Fire. Promoting a cause, PR and marketing actions, troubleshooting,
Once you identify an action with one of the Ki numbers you can add it as a tag to your to do list. And the more you study how 9 Star Ki works the easier it will be to choose what to do next.
Your Ki Advice for April 8 to May 7
1 Water people are now in a 3 Wood month, a far more supportive month than March and where you can expect increased energy levels and renewed inspiration. Remember to take some time out when you can to avoid burning out.
2 Earth people now experience the gentle energy of 4 Wood. Stick to your plans and watch out for bouts of moodiness, you can always ask for help once you realise you can’t do everything yourself.
3 Wood people move into a 5 Earth month. Opportunities will come your way as long as you don’t travel away from home for more than a week or so. Take plenty of exercise to burn off any frustration.
A move up the promotion ladder or raise in status is on the cards for 4 Woods people in their 6 Metal month. Take care not to let the result of your hard work go to your head, and instead focus on what you can do for others.
5 Earth people are in for a more relaxing month as they move into 7 Metal. You can party a little but don’t be fooled by your capacity to get away with overindulgence.
If plans didn’t work out last month for 6 metal people, this 8 Earth month provides you with the chance to work out what went wrong with your plans and to redefine you actions list.
7 Metal people are in for an enjoyable 9 Fire month. At times you might feel the heat and overworked, but then you can’t expect to be in control all the time. Investigate any offers carefully or your might really get burned.
The nature of 8 Earth people is that of a mountain, but this 1 Water month may at times feel more like an emotional waterfall that wears away at your steadfast exterior. But if you are willing to look, there are jewels to be discovered beneath the surface.
9 Fire people move into another slow month, this time it’s 2 Earth. Focus on the small details that you need to clear up, and don’t show off or you might put off potential allies.
Your Ki Advice for March 6 to April 7
1 Water: Your 2 Earth month will be slow, but despite feeling held back you can at least make your preparations for the New Year. By keeping your ambitions modest for Xmas you will find that the New Year comes in with a bang. Too much effort and extravaganza in December and your just exhaust yourself.
2 Earth: In your 3 Wood month it’s finally time to move on your plans, and having cleared the decks last month you now have all the energy and ideas to proceed with confidence. You don’t have to make any final choices about the opportunities presented to you, so just enjoy some unexpected creativity.
3 Wood: The pace now slows down after last months hectic rush, but you can build on the ideas you have chosen to go with and explain more clearly what is on your mind. This 4 Wood month is a good time to accept any help that is offered.
4 Wood: Your 5 Earth month is a good time to observe how well your decisions are panning out. The balance between you being in the world and looking after yourself will also be measured this month, but through accepting yourself as you are, you will develop plans that are more realistic.
5 Earth: Your achievements are now rewarded with a raise in status, but don’t let your pride get the better of you. If you don’t like your Xmas presents you can always take them back, but if you plans don’t appear to be working out, you’ll have to make make a course correction.
6 Metal: Loosen up and enjoy yourself in your 7 Metal month. You can expect lots of presents at Xmas and plenty of party invites. In the quieter moment give thanks for all that you have received and appreciate the hard work you have put in.
7 Metal: Although you are not given to introspection, there is a hidden depth to your nature which you now have a chance to explore. You are also not prone to turning down a party so don’t allow yourself to hide away, but don’t’ get pushy if events aren’t moving as fast as you would like.
8 Earth: The warm sunshine of a 9 Fire month can reveal more than you intended, so decide on what it is you want to draw attention to. Like wise look carefully at any tempting offers as first appearances may be deceptive. On the bright side you will enjoy an exceptionally sociable month.
9 Fire: Your 1 Water month provides you with the opportunity to exert your independence and to seek meaning from life events. You may be challenged by relationship issues, but don’t take peoples distance from you too seriously.
Your Ki Advice for February 4 to March 5
This month everyone’s Adult number falls into the Year number they were born into, i.e 1 Water is in a 1 Water Month, 2 Earth in a 2 Earth Month etc. This means that you will be experiencing your own Ki energy without so much of the influence of the other numbers, and so is an ideal time to get acquainted with your primary Ki Nature.
1 Water: You now have the opportunity to take a break from concerning yourself so much with everyone else’s well being, but you should still make the effort to share your insights. You may also have to face up to some emotional difficulties that require independent thought to get you through them.
2 Earth: Time to clear out all that clutter from your life and get ready for a lot of activity in December. If you remain modest about how fortunate you have been this year, you will create trust with potential allies and attract the help you need for sucess.
3 Wood: Its time for change, but don’t force it or overdo it or your bite off more than you can chew. Through staying real about your ambitions you can create a world that works for you, but you also need some patience, so burn off any frustrations you have with plenty of execise.
4 Wood: The hectic nature of this year has made it difficult for you to stay in contact with your gentler side. Putting aside your public persona for a while will now allow you to open up to unforeseen possibilities that reinforce your current progress.
5 Earth: Its time for you to sit still and pay attention to the messages you receive about decisions you have made over the last year. Opportunities are also heading your way, but they will pass you by if you try to wriggle out of your responsibilities.
6 Metal: You maybe having the urge to forge ahead and make some grand gesture, however it’s more important to stick with the detail and listen to what people are saying. And don’t worry about your status, as a pay rise is on it’s way.
7 Metal: Don’t allow the more indulgent side of your nature to distract you from the exciting possbilties you have been exploring. This month you can use your sensitivity to determine what works best for you and how to take advantage of it.
8 Earth: Just because it’s taking awhile for events to unfold, doesn’t mean you can change track because the end is not yet in sight. Stick to your guns, but also allow the gentle persuasive nature of Wood chi to work it’s mysterious influence.
9 Fire: The warmth of your nature can be an inspiration to others, but don’t let their concerns overwhelm you. If you stay organised you can create the focus you need to attract greater opportunites.

Shar Chi for 2012
At the beginning of the Nine Star Ki New Year which is on February 4, the Shar Chi for the year moves to a new compass direction. And if the Shar Chi in your home is activated you can be sure that 2012 will be a year to forget about.
This year it is to be found in the South East, so what you have to do is locate the South East direction in your home or office. You do this by taking a magnetic compass and stand in the middle of your home or office. Take the reading for South East, then go to that area and remove any mirrors, crystals and anything that is coloured red.
You can also reduce the affect of the Shar Chi by placing in this area a wind chime with six chimes, or a pile of six coins.
Shar Chi for 2011
At the beginning of each Nine Star Ki New Year the Shar Chi for the year moves to a new direction. The direction for each year is based on where the number 5 is to found for that year in the Luo Shu. You can read about the Luo Shu here.
If the Shar Chi in your home is activated you can be sure that 2011 will be a year to forget about, so what you have to do is locate where in your home or office the area covered by the direction East. The best way to do this is to take a compass and stand in the middle of the building. Take the reading for East, then go to that area of the home or office and remove any mirrors, crystals or anything that is coloured red.
